Our story

Born from the storms of 2023.

The AG Women Connect Foundation was created in 2023, when Venessa Wood recognized the need for a foundation dedicated to people in agriculture who have faced natural disasters. The vision took shape shortly after tornadoes devastated Matador and Perryton, Texas.

As someone who grew up in agriculture, Venessa knows it's never just one challenge. It's floods, fires, drought and storms, sometimes all in the same season. Yet those in agriculture keep farming and ranching with faith, resilience and perseverance, whatever comes their way.

The Foundation gives back to individuals and families who have lost loved ones or simply need support, whether that means rebuilding barns, repairing fences or having a community that will show up, listen and remind them there is hope on the other side.

We believe strongly that through faith in God and in one another, healing and restoration are possible.AG Women Connect Foundation

Scholarships

Honoring every path into agriculture.

Many deserving young people fall through the cracks because they don't attend a traditional four-year university. Some return to the family ranch or farm, start a business, attend trade school or enroll in a two-year program. All of these paths are valuable, necessary and vital to the future of agriculture.
