Chapter Arizona
User Bio Katie Ramos, from Northern Arizona has had a passion for horsemanship and agriculture her entire life. In her early years she was heavily involved with showing All Around horses through 4-H, ApHC, and APHA. Family affairs involved hunting, fishing, camping, and day working on ranches within the Diablo Trust partnership. Her drive to consistently improve her horsemanship led her to work alongside professional horsemen in both the National Cutting Horse Association and National Reining Horse Association. During this time she also held two rodeo queen titles representing the PRCA as the Flagstaff Pro Rodeo Queen (2018) and Miss Turquoise Circuit (2020 & 2021). The education received from this chapter led Katie to pursue the title of Miss Rodeo Arizona, which granted her the opportunity to represent Arizona at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant in 2023. During her reign as Miss Rodeo Arizona, Katie developed a deep passion for educating the public and broadening her education about the codependent relationship that agriculture and conservation hold with one another in the Western United States. With thanks to the Miss Rodeo America Scholarship Foundation, she has been given the opportunity to complete her Bachelor's degree at The University of Arizona majoring in Agricultural Technology & Education with an emphasis in Leadership & Communication and a minor in Rangeland Studies. Katie also writes for the Turquoise Circuit social media, volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and is an active member of Arizona Cattle Growers and Arizona Young Farmers & Ranchers. When time allows Katie is an avid student of horsemanship, enters breakaway jackpots and cow horse competitions, and is always looking for a new National Park to check off of her list.
