User Bio My name is Lacey and I started the SOBER COWBOY community and non-profit in January of 2024. I have made it my goal and mission to serve the western and agriculture communities by offering inspiration, positivity and recourses to those struggling with addiction. SOBER COWBOY Mission: A community for cowboys, sober or curious. Our mission is to help a cowboy avoid addiction by using our faith, healthy outlets, and build a supportive community around each other. We want to make it more acceptable and common to talk about our feelings in the cowboy world, rather than drown them in substance abuse. Through fundraising, merchandise sales, and donations we hope to someday sponsor a cowboy through his or her recovery. Stay tuned for updates on the SOBER COWBOY fund. I have been in the western industry all of my life. On a small scale, we raised cattle and horses growing up. I have always loved the western way of life. I also wanted to be even more immersed in it. I have been doing leatherwork with my small business, Grade Mare Leather Co., for the last 5 years, but I didn't feel that my purpose in life was being fullfilled. SOBER COWBOY was born in the hope to give back to the western world which I love so much. My dad has been an addict my whole life, and I also have had my own battles with alcohol. I hope that with the experiences I have had, and sharing other's stories, this community can make an impact on someone in our world that feels alone.
