Raised in a farm family in Western Kansas, Marisa Maddy is rooted in tenacity, optimism, and the values of rural living. Horses became her passion early on, leading her through collegiate competition while earning an animal science degree at Kansas State University, then industry internships, and eventually a western performance horse training business in Scottsdale, Arizona. After a lifetime’s worth of lessons learned, friends made, and horses touched, her transition into a marketing role with Bluebonnet in 2022 was a natural meeting of all of her passions. A lifelong writer and reader, Marisa believes deeply in the power of language. She brings that, along with her equine experience, to her role with Bluebonnet, where she has helped shape the brand’s approachable and trustworthy voice. Guided by her favorite phrase, “I don’t know,” she approaches every project with curiosity and a desire to learn. Marisa’s efforts have played a key role in elevating Bluebonnet from a regional niche to a nationwide presence. She shepherds a loyal Bluebonnet audience, supports brand partnerships, and helps develop resources to empower horse-owners across the country. In everything she does, Marisa exudes a unique authenticity and an invigorating spirit, celebrating the Western lifestyle and the horses who shape it.
