User Bio I have been married to Todd, a 5th generation farmer since December 2006. Together we have 2 amazing children. We formed our partnership a few years ago called TALK Farms (Todd And Lindsay Kimbrell). Our home is in Itasca, Texas, but our farms are scattered across 4 counties currently. We grow corn, wheat, and cotton primarily. We have tried our luck with sesame, milo, soybeans, and sunflowers, but typically stick to the main 3. I try to be a huge advocate for agriculture in our community by posting pictures, information, and agriculture facts on my social media pages. We are huge supporters of our community and try to donate and help our local schools and other community organizations when we can. I serve on two local boards, the Hill County Child Protective Services board and the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce board. I also volunteer for NCGA (Texas) Commonground. My husband is on the Texas Corn Producers Board, the Hill County Soil and Water Board, and the Itasca Co-Op board (our local grain storage cooperative). I was recently hired by our State Representative as her District Director, so I now spend my “spare” time working for the State of Texas. Our son Trey has been helping his dad and going with him everywhere since he was about 4-5 years old. Trey was featured on U.S. Farm Report when he was 9 because he was fully operating the combine on his own, working all day, and showing incredible responsibility at such a young age (he gets that from his dad). Trey is now 16 and a junior in High School and still helping his dad and working on the farm when he’s not in school. Harvest is definitely his favorite time of year. Our daughter, Tessa who is 12, enjoys helping, although she would much rather remain the advocate. She tried her hand at the Miss United States Agriculture, we decided that pageants weren’t really her thing, but she does love teaching her peers, and even teachers, about agriculture and how things work. She is a great grain cart and combine operator though.
