Chapter Texas - Lubbock
User Bio It's much easier for me to write just about anything, than my own bio! Here is an attempt to bullet point the interesting stops, and hopefully create some comradery with this group of amazing women who support and love the ag industry. At this juncture I am a well seasoned gal. Married (#2) to Richard Wells, of Oklahoma we share laughter, love and reside in two states 1/2 the week so that he can manage the ranch and I can enjoy my dream job at the Community Foundation of West Texas. We share 4 kids, 2 kid in laws, 4 grand kids and manage to keep in touch with adoring relatives and friends from Galveston to Lubbock, Arkansas, Arizona and everywhere in between. We spoil 3 dogs, 2 barn cats, and raise some chickens and a lot of hoofs. If we get a chance to go somewhere we usually don't, home is a vacation to us especially when we get to enjoy time with family or friends. I am a Lucky to grow up in Lubbock girl as Julie Barron, went to Monterey High School, and later graduated from Texas Tech. I lived and raised my two daughters. Kiley and Hartlee in Corpus Christi and later in Sandia Park, New Mexico.
Business Name Community Foundation of West Texas, Director of Major Gifts, Wells Cattle Company, and the Ranch at Reese Event Center

Business Bio While I have had several careers along the way, all of them have been in the vein of helping people. If you ever get the opportunity to help people build their legacy through endowment and charitable purposes for perpetuity, do it! My career path has led me through so many wonderful opportunities in media, promotion, event planning and business development to this spot at CFWTX. I've published books, created ad campaigns, organized events and even hosted a couple of radio and podcast shows. Getting to help people who want to impact the community is something that just does not get old. Helping nonprofit organizations find ways to grow programs and enrich lives is wonderful. Being part of the ranch, and helping my husband part time is the perfect balance of busy behind a computer and busy with the sun on your face riding in a truck!
