User Bio Hello! My name is Ella Lawton, a 20-year-old sophomore at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. I am majoring in Animal Science with a concentration in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. After I am finished with my undergraduate studies, I plan on obtaining my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in the Midwest. I have been involved in the ag industry my entire life. For my first ten years, I grew up in my family's grain elevator in southern Wisconsin. When they successfully sold out, we moved back to the farm where my dad housed his cow-calf operation in the 90s in west-central Wisconsin. From then on I raised and showed pigs for 4-H and eventually started to rodeo. I still breakaway rope competitively, however, I am more focused on my academic studies, future endeavors, and internships. I plan on going back to my roots after vet school and continuing on my family's legacy with a genetically improved cow-calf operation, as well as our own line of well-bred horses.
