Chapter National

User Bio Hi, my name is Dusti Caviness. I live on a ranch about 40 miles south of Hobbs, NM. I am a work at home mom of 3 precious little boys- Riley 9, River 7, and Rowdy 4. My husband, Jim Ross and I own and run a cow/calf operation and do business in the oilfield as well. I grew up in Ruidoso, NM and attended New Mexico State University where I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation I moved to Hobbs, NM and started my Career with Zia Park Casino and Racetrack, overseeing all horse racing operations. While working, I attended Tarleton State University Online where I graduated with my Masters in Leadership and Management in 2011. In 2017, I was blessed with the opportunity to leave my corporate job and become a stay-at-home mom. The “staying at home” didn’t last very long though as I soon began traveling to our ranch every day and helping my husband feed cows. In 2019 we made the permanent move from our home in Hobbs to our ranch. We homeschool our boys and we all work together on our ranch. My kids are involved in rodeo as well as baseball, basketball, and football. I love the ranching lifestyle and have learned to appreciate all of the hard work that goes into making it run smoothly. I am active with the New Mexico Cattle Growers association and have several projects that I am working on to help build membership within that organization. I know how valuable organizations that promote our lifestyle are and I am so excited to be able to join forces with Ag Women Connect and bring this group to New Mexico. "
