User Bio Cindy Barksdale is a fifth-generation Wise County resident who, alongside her husband of 22 years, raised their three children through the values of Christian faith, family, agriculture, and community service. A retired educator with 30 years of experience as an agriculture teacher, Texas A&M AgriLife County Extension Agent for 4-H and Youth Development, and school counselor, Cindy now leads Rooted and Resilient, where she helps families and communities intentionally build grit and resilience. She also helps students transform their experiences into compelling stories for scholarships, college, and future careers.
