National Agriculture Day is a time to reflect on the people, practices, and policies that keep our food system strong. It’s a day to celebrate the resilience and dedication of farmers, ranchers, and agricultural professionals, especially Ag women, who continue to shape the future of this industry.
This year, an exciting new initiative is gaining momentum that aligns perfectly with the spirit of Ag Day. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has launched a national awareness campaign highlighting the “Product of USA” label. This label provides consumers with clear, trustworthy information, ensuring that when they see it on meat, poultry, or processed egg products, the animal was born, raised, harvested, and processed entirely within the United States.
In a time when consumers are increasingly curious about where their food comes from, transparency matters more than ever. The “Product of USA” label helps bridge the gap between producers and consumers, reinforcing confidence in American-grown products and the people behind them.
Producers can tell a powerful story about their operations and the care that goes into raising livestock right here at home. As women in agriculture, we play a vital role in telling that story. Whether you are a rancher, communicator, student, or advocate, your voice helps shape public perception and build trust. Secretary Rollins and the USDA are encouraging all of us to help amplify this message, and we are uniquely positioned to do so.
This campaign is more than just a label. It is an opportunity to celebrate the integrity of American agriculture and strengthen the connection between producers and the public.
