AG WOMEN CONNECT REPRESENTS WOMEN IN AGRICULTURE ON NATIONAL STAGE WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP

Twelve women from eight states bring the voice of American agriculture to Dallas through invitation and partnership with Bienvenido.

DALLAS, TEXAS — September 12, 2026 — Ag Women Connect (AWC) marked a historic moment for its organization and the women-in-agriculture movement Wednesday evening, September 9, as 12 women representing agriculture from across the United States took the stage directly behind President Donald J. Trump during his appearance in Dallas.

Ag Women Connect was invited to participate through its partnership with Bienvenido, an organization committed to engaging communities and building grassroots connections across America. The invitation provided AWC with an opportunity to bring women from agriculture together and ensure rural and agricultural voices were represented on a national stage.

The Ag Women Connect delegation included women from Florida, Texas, Nevada, New Mexico, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Indiana and Tennessee, representing the diverse voices, experiences and industries that make up American agriculture.

During the event, Ag Women Connect Founder and CEO Venessa Wood had the opportunity to shake hands with President Trump, as did Sarah Falen, known as the Constitution Cowgirl, of Wyoming.

For an organization built from the grassroots up, the moment represented far more than being on a national stage. It demonstrated the growing influence of women in agriculture and the importance of ensuring their voices are represented in conversations shaping the future of rural America.

“We are incredibly grateful to Bienvenido for believing in Ag Women Connect, inviting us into this opportunity and partnering with grassroots organizations that are pouring their time, energy and hearts into the American people,” said Wood. “We had 12 women from eight states standing together and representing agriculture across this nation. These women are farmers, ranchers, agricultural professionals, advocates and leaders in their communities. To stand together on that stage was something we will never forget.”

Ag Women Connect was founded to connect, educate and advocate for women in agriculture, while creating opportunities for women to have a stronger voice in conversations affecting agriculture, rural America and the future of the country.

AWC believes women in agriculture have an important role to play not only on their farms and ranches and in their businesses and communities, but also through civic engagement.

As the 2026 midterm elections approach, Ag Women Connect will continue encouraging its members and rural communities across the country to get informed, get involved and exercise their right to vote.

“This is only the beginning,” Wood added. “We will continue opening doors, bringing women with us, advocating for American agriculture and encouraging people across rural America to make their voices heard. When women in agriculture come together, we are a powerful force for our industry, our communities and our country.”
